Creativity and New Media
Using the new media of the virtual game called Sims 3 and my creativity, I managed to a create an avatar (Sim) that share the same characteristics of me and build a house to live in. In this virtual world I would play myself by doing daily routines of eating, sleeping, communicating with others, and completing life goals just by a click of a button. I enjoy this game so much because I could escape reality and live another life or virtual life. Screenshots of my Sims 3 virtual world are below. Hope you enjoy =)

This is a nice virtual world you created for yourself. I have a question though, what is that green diamond above your head in the Sims 3? I wasn't sure if you made it as apart of your character or it came with the game itself, like a cursor for example. Also in the Sims 3 can you create your own life at will like own a mansion or do you have to literally work for it and create your own business etc? Looks dope that's why I'm asking so much questions..

ReplyDeleteThe green diamond is something that comes with the game. It is placed there to show you what sim (avatar)you are actively playing with at the moment. In the game you can make and play with many sims that you like. In the Sims 3, it is like the real world you have to work for success and there is obstacles that come with it. It is a fun and a very addictive game, you should get it especially for the PC! If you have anymore questions, feel welcome to ask.

Very interesting virtual world that you have created. I have never played in a virtual world, but I am curious why you would create and then capture the screenshot of you on the toilet?!?

@BKBlogger I wanted to show how realistic virtual blogs can be. You can make your Sim eat, sleep, work, play etc just like us.

ReplyDeleteAhahaha! I think it's so awesome that you created a character on "The Sims 3". Those pictures make me want to play "The Sims 3" also. The game looks so pretty. I think you should be careful when playing online virtual games. Online virtual games can be addicting. I used to be addicted to virtual games and it negatively impacted my academic performance.
